ADAPTIVE GYMNASTICS

adaptive-gymnastics

Adaptive gymnastics classes are for children who have a diagnosis or disability which requires some additional support or adaptation. We will work with our students and their families to accommodate different learning styles and support needs. We treat every child as an individual and adapt our coaching to meet them at their level. Throughout class, emphasis is on coordination, balance, strength, fine and gross motor skills, visual motor skills, as well as body and spatial awareness. We will also focus on helping children learn to follow directions with a group of peers, and improve overall regulation and self-esteem.

AGES 2-3 WITH ADULT PARTICIPATION

Students will engage in a fun dynamic environment that offers a variety of ways to learn and practice gymnastics. Throughout class, we are working towards growth in behavior, attention, and gymnastics skills. The Adaptive Tot class also has a strong focus on developing a co-regulation bond between the child and their adult.
