Develop a stronger connection with the Nutcracker story and characters in this 3 day intensive. Dancers will work on ballet technique, as well as learn repertory from the iconic ballet. The intensive will end with a performance for family and friends on Wednesday, as well as the opportunity to perform at Niles Holly Jolly Fest. Leotard, tights, and ballet shoes are required, with hair pulled back neatly in a bun. No jewelry is permitted. Open to dancers in Gold Ballet and above.

This is a 2-day experience in which dancers will explore ballet technique through the lens of the iconic Nutcracker Ballet! Perfect for the dancer looking for an extra boost in their training or interested in auditioning for Viking Dance Company! This intensive offers a sampler of multiple styles – ballet, hip hop, jazz, contemporary, and acro! While learning choreography and technique, dancers will also train strength, conditioning, and alignment. Dancers will be able to transition the knowledge and exercises they learn into their at home practice routine. Attire is a leotard and shorts/leggings/capris. Jazz shoes, half lyrical shoes or ballet shoes highly recommended. Hair must be secured back out of the face. Open to dancers currently in Purple or Silver levels. Previous dance experience is highly encouraged.
